After taking a break, I’ve returned to Feedwater with exciting plans for the game in 2024! My initial focus this year will be upgrading the game’s visuals and building a community.
This release is a minor one, with the following changes:
- Fixed a memory leak that was causing the game to slow down after many respawns. This was due to static references to meshes being left in memory by shadow caster scripts. Shadows have been disabled for most of the game and will make a return when a PC version is developed
- Removed the story intro and outro. These were getting in the way of players playing the game and weren’t adding much value. I will bring back a story once I have fleshed it out and can supplement it with visuals
- Changed the checkpoint icon to a flag in the Level Editor
